I hate it that it has become a real hipster thing to buy vinyl. 5 years ago a decent soul/ jazz/ funk/ rock record was like €5-€7, 10 max. Now they are starting from €15 all the way up to the €25 and up range.

I agree. The spot I used to go to, was bought out by some younger cat and he jacked up all the prices. The $5 dollar section became $20 and the $7 became $25. I just said **** this and left. Shame, thats where I found all those Santaria and black magic records.

****, me and my homie had this exact convo the other day. old guy in town is jacking up his prices cos cats be paying 25 for shitty records, i had to go diggin in his basement last week cos all his $1 shit is there and still unmarked.

Man maybe Im lucky. Cats here got mad 2 dollar bins. But a lot of dudes know what's good so a record that say dilla used will go for like 10-15. but still sounds a lot more reasonable than 20-25 **** that shit.

Hipster vinyl cats come and go..record store isn't digging imo..someone else dug those already..at the point you buy its just picking from there digs imo...digging is swapmeetss/flea markets/thrifts/basements/storagelockers/rat infested house calls lol..point being get dirty and dig untouched spots they will be cheap and you will work your ads off but you will find the shit joeblowrecordstoreowner has for 80$ for 50cents. If buying from record stores is your only option you gonna be broke fast.
