You lower the Audio Buffer Size until you get clicks and pops, or similar distortion, in the sound output, then bump it up a setting so that it stops.

It is a balance between low buffer sizes, to give minimal latency when playing back software instruments, and power available to the CPU for processing to run the MPC Software and plugins, as more CPU power is used to handle those low buffer sizes.

Higher buffer settings will result in higher latency, but less chance of clicks and pops in the audio output, due to there being more CPU power available to run the program/plugins.

Lower buffer settings will result in lower latency, but more chance of clicks and pops in the audio output, due to there being less CPU power available to run the program/plugins.

No problem.

As you load more plugins into a project, it will put more load on the CPU, and you might find that you need to bump up the buffer size if you start to get clicks/pops/distortion as you do so.
