CF card freezing problem

So I just bought an MPC2500 with the 128mb ram and now I'm trying to install JJOS. Whenever I start up the MPC with the CF card in it, or put in the CF card while it's running, the screen goes blank and a high-pitched squealing/loading noise comes from the memory card slot. I originally tried this with a kingston 16gb 266x card and then bought a sandisk 8gb 333x card to see if it would do something different, but nope same damn thing. Has anybody seen this before or have some idea of what is wrong? Thanks

If you look into the CF card slot, can you see any bent/broken pins?

No they look perfect to me

No idea then, beyond pulling it apart and reseating the cables/connectors, in case something is not connected properly or misaligned, other than that, maybe power supply issues?

Hopefully someone has had the same issues and can help out.

Yeah i dont know thanks for the help anyway. Also after reading other threads i believe the noise is being made by the hard drive. And some people were saying that the official akai mpc cards worked for them when they had problems with third party cards so i may try that.

Still not exactly sure what the problem is if anyone out there can help

actually you know what dude i feel so dumb for not realizing it but yes there are three that are bent way off i just didnt realize what it was supposed to look like thanks for that. now i guess my question is what is the best way to fix this?

- bend the pins back into position

- replace the CF PCB with a new one

- desolder bent/broken pins from MPC CF PCB, solder in new pins that have been removed from a cheap replacement CF slot

man im really hoping i can bend the pins back into place so i dont have to drop $110 on the new part...i dont know how to solder so thats out...has anyone ever bent them back successfully?
