Just bought a used MPC 1000

Hey this thing has a bunch of problems but the worst one and the only one I can't figure out how to fix is it resetting itself. I load a program, play the pads for a bit, and then the screen shows a line and the MPC resets itself. Anyone have any idea what the problem can be? The MPC is one of the older blue face ones. I've taken out the ram and tried again, but same thing. Play pads for a bit and it shuts off.

Take the ram out
Take the flash card out

hold down Erase while powering it on. Continue holding it down until your standard screen shows up

See what happens and post back.

Take the ram out

Booted up to the erase screen. Nothing looked bad at all. I've "unmodified" some of the pads (I put electrical tape under them) and it hasn't shut off for a bit. Gonna do some more testing to see if I can recreate it.
