I have an MPD18 and it works seamlessly and effortlessly as a controller with FL Studio, it controls individual wav samples like my snares, kicks, etc, and also controls the VSTs just like my midi keyboard does...

Why can I not get the Renaissance to do the same thing?

I followed the instructions on adding the Renaissance as a VST plugin into FL Studio, but the only thing it controls is Stop, Play, and Record... why can't it control everything with the pads like the MPD18?

Hi

I dont know FL, but you have to open the MPC Software and go to midi mode in the MPC and than you can trigger another vsts etc...the REN does not work like the MPD series or has a stand alone midi mode like you have with another controllers....You have always to start the MPC software in FL to get the REN in Midi mode......I hope the will bring in future an update or an application that you can turn the REN in midi controller mode without to start the MPC software

Yes, go into the MPC Software MIDI Control Mode, it makes it operate like an MPD.

MIDI Control Mode was added in MPC Software version 1.5, so you need to be running 1.5 or later to utilise it.
