2000xl & s950 midi question

I ve just got an s950 and i need some help to use it via midi with the xl.

i connected them but i can't play 2 sounds on the same time. For example i press the pad with the kick, then the crash and i can't hear the kick again until the crash sound stop. I guess it is something with the polyphony...

Anyone knows how can i fix/set it? Thank you in advance!

Provide more info about how you set the two machines up to work together. Specifically MPC pad assignments and S950 keygroups.

What settings did you make on the MPC?

What settings have you made on the S950?

Are the two samples in different S950 keygroups, within the one program?

Are the two keygroups assigned to different individual outputs, instead of All(00)?

I was just testing it, so i didn't went through details on assigning keygroups and stuff like this. i loaded an original akai floppy drum kit and that's all. The connection was just with a midi cable.
