infinitcash : i've never used a 2000 so i don't know about that but on the XL the note repeat button doubles as tap tempo..
anyway - reguarding the problem, mine does that sometimes aswell - it works on my machine if i manually set the bpm to 30 and then hit the tap tempo button again. not sure why that is..

hold shift + other ( #8 ) and you can change the average of the tap tempo to make it a lil more accurate

the platic buttons om my unit ie the tap tempo/note repeat, has a very little gap of air between the button and the switch under it. this makes the tempo tapping rather untight - so by losely pressing the button to get rid of the "air gap". when I tap on that finger holding the button down tight againt the switch....

yo about note repeat i've got some strange ish going on..
on my XL i use this button once in a while, especially for live purposes to imitate drumrolls etc. BUT: it seems to sometimes randomly set the BPM to 30 (while doing a live show that could be **** devastating). anybody has a potential explanation for this?
