Not sure about 1k to Ren since JJ made me hate using either of my 1ks, they rarely get used at all.
Too bad if the sound is different, glad the 4k doesn't give me that problem.

You had said that the 4k and 1k did the thinning and I was responding to the 4k.

kind of disappointed it's not a smoother transition. i too am transferring from 3k zips & like i said before, it's a tedious process as one would expect. i just hate that once i get (almost…) everything into the Renaissance, i have to go back & redo my all my original parameters etc.

and yes, it does sound thinner to me too.

Do you have a 1k or 4k? :hmmm:
He was talking about them not the 3k.

It was the original but we also talked about the importing of files from other devices and how they turn out.

Stick to the topic, MPC3000 file compatibility.

Other MPC file formats have been covered extensively before, not least by MPC-Tutor. You could always start a new thread to update this information for 1.6 or wait until after 1.7 drops.

It's the MPC3000 (and MPC60 OS3.xx) that get very little love from Numark.
