Brand new mpc 2500

Hello,

A friend of a friend used to own a small music store an still has some left over stock from a while back... He apparently has a brand new still in box 2500. I'm thinking about buying it, I'll obviously go in at what they used to sell for but my question is, are they worth more these days being that they are like rocking horse £&@£ to buy brand new?

I would go in at less that what they used to sell for.

But I am cheap, I would look for a lightly used one at <$500.

The price someone is willing to pay for an unused NIB MPC is really up to the individual buyer, I wouldn't pay full retail for one, others might.

Yeah man, they used to sell for close to 2k new. I wouldn't pay close to that. I'd pay no more than 800-900 for it. But I'd I was gonna pay that for an mpc I'd get the 4000 used for that price

Ok thanks for that, I appreciate the advise. I was thinking they might of gone up in price because they will never be made again... Like the tech 12's or something. I suppose the 1200's 1210's are a whole different thing though.

New old stock can be tricky to value.

Negotiate a fair price, or buy a used one with JJOS.

The MPC2500 is a common piece, don't be held to a kings ransom just to get the box/warranty, unless purchasing in a commercial capacity.

Yeah and if you but it new you'd drop more money on ram, hd. You could probably find one used with all the bells and whistles for the same price
