Hi, new to the 1k. Running JJOS 4.99. I want to be able to tweak my notes by ticks in grid edit after recording them in but can't seem to do this. There are no options to move. Also can someone explain the function of Q-Real. I have the JJOS bible above but it is different from v4.99. Is it not possible to shift your notes by ticks in this version? If not what would be the better OS for doing this. Thanks

XL is the best for the grid edit imo. I use OS3 and you can slide notes ticks either way as well but it is different.
You can do it in OS1 as well. its even in the manual

That is for DRUM grid edit not midi, and that is in the manual as well, but I assume you're talking about drums.
Q-Real - this means the real time Q-link slider data that is in the sequence and what it is assigned to so you can use it to enter data in the grid edit.

Oh and update your OS as you are now out of date.

This might be a +1 to the comment above. In my quest, I've found JJOS1 to have the "best grid editor". I could be missing something, but it's the only one I've seen that can support TC value of OFF. When this happens, the grid size is 1, which is very helpful for micro edits. I've not seen this in JJOS Free. Sure, you can zoom in OSXL, but this is only goes to 12 pulses minimum.

Of course, OSXL gets high marks for it's batch event editing of velocity, shift, and duration.

YMMV. BBQ.
