Samples Playing Slow?!?!?!

I put a CD in the CD rom drive on the MPC 4000 and the sample are playing slow even when I audition them before I load them. The samples were created in Adobe Audtition. Any ideas or info?

your sample rate rate is prolly wrong.

This sometimes happens if your hardware is set to a different rate than the software or, you might have saved the samples at 48K instead of 44.1K.

The sample rate is 44.1 stereo. Any other ideas?

Do you *know* the sample rate is 44.1, or did the mpc tell you that, after you loaded them?

Shure it aint a tuning problem? Samplerates arent your problem I think. I work at 48000hz and play and audition lots of samples with a lower samplerate..

Have you tried loading those same samples from another media?

I saved them at 44.1 in Adobe Audition.

I have not tried that. But i noticed that it does not happen with the 1000 only the 4ooo.

It seems like with the 4000 i have to tune up the samples four steps to get it back to sound like what i sampled.

Yeah.. I dunno what thats about. I had that also once. Very weird

Weird! Do you maybe have a very small .wav file that I could download and try myself? Maybe Adobe Audition adds a chunk of info in the file that confuses the 4k. I'd like to check that.
