Hi everyone!
Im the proud owner of an MPC1000. I began with reading the manual front to back, (which helped endlessly) but i just cant figure this one out. Any help would be appreciated

I am trying to import multiple midi tracks from the same song from ableton live onto my MPC.
In the first step i was successful, they appear on the MPC memory card, however, i cant figure out how to save the files to separate tracks on the same sequence!

Basically what im trying to do is trigger multiple hardware synths from the MPC.

Please lend a hand!
Thanks, C
(hope this made sense)

Have not tried it myself, so can't really help at all.

What is happening when you try to import the MIDI files, do you have a separate MIDI file for each track, are they importing at all, are consecutive imported MIDI files overwriting previous ones, etc.?

Tracks inside of a seq? I ask that since a seq can contain multiple tracks?
Multiple tracks from multiple seqs? Be clear with your definitions here. Tracks, people call damn near anything a track, what is it actually?

Midi file type 0 and 1, look those up and see what they do. They are different, 1 file each.

Thanks for the replies-
I thought it might be hard to decipher, sorry.

Heres some more info-
I exported multiple midi files that made up a song i composed in Ableton. These files were 3 different tracks- one triggering my modular, one my prophet, and one my moog. I put them into a folder and successfully imported them onto the Mpc's memory card.
The next step is where it goes wrong-
Im trying to set these midi files up on the same sequence on the MPC so they'll trigger/ play simultaneously.
The files will only transfer from the memory card onto separate sequences, thus not playing at the same time.
Does this help?
Thanks again, C
