My MBP is USB 2. There's something funny about the MPC drivers, or there is a software conflict.... Or it's just buggy.

I have put my Ren in the closet back nits box several times, and waited for the next update. I'm thankful I did not sell my 4k!

Back in the box it goes.

Maybe Mavericks beta driver issues?

Maybe a new driver will work better, if/when that happens.

Or maybe you could setup an older OS on a different drive to boot from when wanting to use the Renaissance, or find a different audio interface that works with MPC Software.

Yeah its a usb3 ploytech driver conflict on windows computer with usb3. If your lucky enough to have the option in bios to turn of usb 3 modeand force the ports to work as usb 2 ports this can fix the issue. I can use other interfaces fine, as soon as i use the ren audio driver i have problems...

sorry I think I screwed this topic up a bit. the OP has a macbook, I assumed it was a windows/usb 3.0 issue (because i was experiencing major crackling and phasing caused by i assume sample rate sync issues) but I can't speak to how much the ploytech driver has to do with the glitches on an MBP :/

The OP here seems to be having Ploytec/Mavericks issues, with MBP USB2 ports.

There also seems to be either Ploytec/USB3 issues, or Renaissance/USB3 issues, in other cases, but that seems to be quite common with USB3 ports not being as backward compatible with USB2 devices as you would expect.

I was using my Ren on a 2.0 port, but was still getting crackles until I totally disabled the 3.0 driver via the bios. I still had some crackling and sample rate sync issues but they now seem to be almost 100% resolved after removing all of windows 8s visual effects (except for font smoothing) and also I replaced a logitech keyboard with as cheap as possible a keyboard and I'm pretty sure even that improved the audio signal.

basically everything is **** up across the board
