Selling a MPD-24 to someone in the States?

hi, i have an old Akai MPD-24 which i am hoping to send over to a friend in the States, but i am wondering because i think that electronics in the UK run at a different voltage setting than the US does.

Can i send this to my friend and have him hook it up to his PC via USB?


the fact that USB means Universal Serial Bus that it should work anywhere, right?


Just dont wanna send him something that could potentially harm his computer.

If it is USB powered, it will be fine, USB power is exactly the same everywhere.

If it uses an external power supply/adapter, that will probably need to be replaced with one that suits his mains power specifications, or if it is auto-switching, would need an adapter for the different plug/socket type.
