I successfully downloaded the mpc software, downloaded the plug-ms that came with the mpc [The 809, The Bank, The Noise, & The Wub] .. I decide to go to the drop down menu in the software .. I do not see NO PLUG-INS .. ! However I see everything has been loaded successfully in my MPC Folder .. I am new to the computer thing in regards to the technical side .. Am I missing a device or something .. I have all updated drivers .. So I'm not understanding why I cannot see at least my list of factory plug ins .. Yet alone my Komplete & Protools plug-ins .. all I get is <none> ..

Help me ?

Did you run the MPC Expansion updaters that are included with the MPC Software download?

The MPC Expansion plugins that are supplied with MPC Software are 32 bit versions, later versions of MPC Software default to 64 bit mode, so the MPC Expansion plugins need to be updated to run in 64 bit mode.

You can either update the MPC expansion plugins, or run MPC Software in 32 bit mode (separate icon in Windows, right click on MPC Software and choose 32 bit option on Mac).

When you download the MPC Software updater, it is a zipped archive file...

Update-MPC-v1.6-Mac.zip

When you double click on that zipped archive file, it unzips the contained files into a folder...

Update-MPC-v1.6-Mac

Inside that folder are a number of files...

MPC Update Walkthrough.pdf
The 809 v1.3 update.pkg
The Bank v1.3 update.pkg
The Noise v1.3 update.pkg
The Wub v1.3 update.pkg
Update MPC 1.6.app

Not much else I can tell you, you need to find that folder, with the MPC Expansion updaters in it, which is what is inside the MPC Software updater zip file that you download from the Akai website.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is not going to achieve anything, you still need to find those MPC Expansion updater files, which are included with the MPC Software updater zip file.

I'm use to the MPC 2000 / 2500 .. The Renaissance is new to me .. So I need all the help I can get .. It's been about 5 years since I last used the MPC ..

Q: .. I bought the MPC Headphones and plugged them into the MPC .. I tried everything I could and just cannot hear from the MPC .. I plug them into the monitors and its perfect .. Wondering if you know about how to resolve this ? I also am not certain about how to adjust or set my audio settings on my mac .. I use the monitors to hear .. I tried using the MPC option but I can't hear anything .. My Equipment includes the IMAC, EIE Pro, MPK49, RPM3 Monitors, and plug ins .. also have the Protools Bundle 10-11 ..

With that being said .. Yes I may have arranged a mess and just so happened to get sound from the monitors .. lol ? Would it be possible you walked me through the process of audio and midi .. ? I'm also not getting levels on my EIE Pro .. however my Ilok is plugged in then USB of the EIE and the Mac recognizes it .. so it's a level, midi, & audio issue I'm not sure about .. Other wise I'm ready to rock out .. I did record a nice track just to get the configurations of ensuring everything works via software and plug-ins .. thanks to you .. I'm now set ! So If you could further assist me, I'm certain I'm good from there once all is resolved ..

I do not have Sound Cloud yet .. Will let you know once my library has been solidified ..

In your audio settings, you have to select the Ren as the audio interface. The system's or some other interface is defaulted instead of ren... (Its just a standard USB interface)

Check audio under settings

Once the MPC Renaissance is set to be the audio output device that MPC Software uses, make sure that the Mix knob, next to the Renaissance headphone outputs, is turned towards Main.

Hey I hate to be like so slow .. but .. lol, I tried the input & out put on my mac and my mpc software .. even unplugged my monitors .. still nothing .. I seriously just don't know what I'm doing ..

When you say adio settings are you speaking of the computer or the mpc .. I need to know how it should look on my cad and mpc ..

my monitors are usb .. I do not have my cables yet .. so they were plugged in my computer .. should they be plugged into the EIE Pro if so where .. or am I struggling because I do not have the cables yet ? idk .. smh ..

IMAC Configurations in Settings / Sound = [Input] Internal Microphone, Protools Aggregate, EIE Pro (USB), Renaissance MPC (USB)

[Output] = Internal Speakers, Protools, Avid Core Audio Device, EIE Pro, Renaissance MPC .. *** Let's start here .. How should this be set up on my computer , , mind you my monitors are now unplugged.

MPC Configurations are as follows .. - Built In Output, EIE Pro (Bit), EIE Pro (Core), Renaissance (Bit), Renaissance (Core) .. Protools Aggrigate [THIS IS FOR BOTH INPUT AND OUTPUT CHANNELS] .. [I DO HAVE MY MPC MIDI TO THE EIE PRO] .. I have a mess here ..

Set the input and output within MPC Software preferences/audio to the Renaissance.

You can try both, bit and coreaudio, not sure what the difference is between them.

Make sure the Mix knob next to the headphone output is set to Main.

Make sure the Direct Mon knob is set to Comp.

I would forget everything else for the moment, and just try to get sound from MPC Software to output through the Renaissance headphone output, into your headphones.

BTW, on the MPC Software on the "Test" tab I hear the tone perfectly ! .. it's just that when I play one of my tracks I hear absolutely nothing unless I ply the monitors in and set both MPC and MAC to the Monitors .. But .. Doing what was suggested, I select TEST I hear the tone .. That's it tho ..
