I've been running windows 8 since day 1. Running 8.1 since day one. Pretty stable to me. Did you do an upgrade or did you do a full install?

Better not use a usb3 port. Try to use a usb2 port. Use a 2.0 hub if u have one. There are known issues with the 3.0 with a lot of devices, not just the Ren.

Yep All ports on the laptop are usb3... And i have no option to turn them off in the bios..

Assuming your ports are usb 2? (or the one the ren is in is usb2)

No, I have it in a USB 2.0 ports and 3.0 ports.

I meant i use USB 2.0 for the REN; I don't use my 3.0s for controllers. I really don't use my 3.0s at all. I use firewire for my DIGI 003R.

I was typing in the dark on my ipad when I replied to this. Lol.
