mpc 2000 midi keyboard mapping

Hi just need some help on my mpc 2000 classic the pads are bad so i thought i would connect a midi keyboard to it its a axiom 61 to control my samples i can hear them alright but i want them mapped the same way the pads are setup like chromatic on the keys but they are spaced apart on the keys can somebody help me.i have a 1000 also but i wanted to start using the 2000 again because i dont really want to sell it or have it just collect dust thanks fam

Go into Program Mode/Assign, set each pad to the note number you want it to be.

Once you have setup the pad-note layout you are happy with, save it as a template to use again next time.
