Creating this thread to capture and track all of the improvements that everyone would like to see in plugin mode.

For me, it's really all about enabling the MPC to be used more like a software instrument in a DAW, so these are closely related - I don't think you can have one without the others:

* 32 stereo virtual outputs
* drag / drop midi from MPC plugin to DAW track
* enable MPC sounds to be triggered from DAW midi tracks (multi-timbral mode)
* toggle to turn off MPC sequencer (if using as a sound source, only need the DAW sequencer)

Everyone else? I'm hoping we can see some serious attention to plugin mode in the near future.

:(
I was hoping you were referring to plug-in use enhancements not being used as a plug-in.

I would love for them to improve the mapping control for plug-ins, some plug-ins have no control from the Q-Links.

More than a single simultaneous output from plugin mode.

Should allow 4 simultaneous MIDI outputs, to external MIDI devices, so that projects work with external MIDI devices in plugin mode in the same way that standalone mode does.

I don't know how to explain this and it could only be me or fixed in 1.7.

Some plug-ins do not show all of the drop down menus or anything extra except for what is in the GUI interface.

In other words: if there is a drop down menu near the top of the GUI for loading saved presets, it will not show up when loaded in the MPC software. I've run into this for a lot of plugins.

I don't know if it a plug coding issue or the MPC is not properly deploying the GUI in its entirety.

It's about everything related to plugin mode. So your requests are just as valid. Please include them if you have more.

Ah - apologies folks... now I understand what that second post was trying to clarify. Yes, this is not about USING plugins in the MPC software. This is more about using the MPC plugin in a DAW.

I think it's best to keep this thread for that. Using plugins in the MPC software, someone can / should create another thread.

This is it for me. I use the MPC essentials plugin all the time in FL (at least til 1.7 comes out) and you just have to load the "classic mpc note layout" or whatever it's called and then just hit the midi button on the plugin whenever i want to record.

Not that big a deal but it would be so nice to just have a setting where the mpc records midi to the daw all the time. I really don't get why this wasn't an option from the get. Is it because akai wanted to force us to use its "legendary mpc sequencer" or was it just an oversight? I mean, who the **** would want to sequence in the mpc plugin in a daw? I don't get it.

Oh, and that other stuff would be cool, too. :-D

The problem that may arise from recording midi st8 into daw is you prob won't be able to quantise it using the mpc swing settings,
Drag and drop would be better

highcaliba wrote:The good thing is most DAW's have mpc quantizing templates you can download offline..but I agree drag and drop would be good.

Yeah I got one for logic it has the mpc and maschine swing values but I don't think u can select different time div 1/4,1/8, etc

Pete said the count was doubled. Right now it's only 8 stereo... no? So assumed 16 in 1.7. Unless they snuck in more since the time he answered that question.

Yeah I took it as 16 stereo and 32 mono, unless that was feature 107?

My only request would be multiple instances like Maschine.
