Its got a functioning demo in google store.
You just cant save some things like the JJ demo.

Android has more then a few synths, but G-stomper was the best Sampler with a keyboard I cold find.

RD4, Electrum, audiotool, are also interesting.
But as you can imagine most of them aren't as advanced as the ios offerings yet.
They're getting better though.

RD4 is available on IOS and has been tightly integrated with the Novation Launchkey Mini.

I wonder if its integrated well on the Android version.

Other then these tablet apps just being fun, now I've got an reason for getting my hands on some of these nice USB mini controllers they're coming out with that I was always frustrated at for being useless for my hardware needs.

I had an app on a tablet I didn't get the chance to try out yet.. I planned on messing with it but I think it got deleted and I now forget the name hahaha... anyhow reading the description it was a player for audio files and clips, but intended for things like learning second languages and things like that... so the listener can have certain sections loop automatically or by clicking it. I believe you could cut sections out too or something like that.. it was so you could loop parts and practice saying it.. anyhow it seemed potentially interesting. I think I would aim to find oddball apps like that which aren't intended for music because most of the apps i've seen so far don't seem like my thing.

Xmonsta has introduced Pull, a new touchscreen device editor for Ableton Live 9.

Built in Max For Live and based on the Lemur iPad app, Pull is a designed to be a fast and efficient workflow tool for sound designers, producers and mixing/mastering engineers.

Pull allows you to edit full-screen versions of every Ableton Live device (over 60 Lemur templates) directly from your iPad. It follows any device that is currently selected and displays a large, multi-touch template on the iPad for editing.

The software works alongside any type of controller, such as Ableton Push, APC40, Touchable, Livecontrol2, SHOVE, or even a mouse.

Here’s what the developers have to say about Pull:

We noticed that while there are some great controllers for Ableton, most of these lack intuitiveness when editing devices (only allowing you to edit the 8 banks of parameters at a time, using generic knobs). PULL is set to change this, providing much larger, full screen, multi-touch versions that are designed to look just like Ableton devices.

We will also soon release the ability to control popular VST’s and Max For Live devices using the software.

I'm glad you caught that. I'm thinking about buying it at this price ahead of time, so whenever I buy an iPad, I'll be good to go. I know I have some universal apps and a gift-app game from my brother that I haven't tried. The more apps that I catch on sale like this, the quicker I'll upgrade. Thor seems like an app that would make the iPad feel like more of a complete instrument. This has gotta be even more fun than using it in the Reason rack. Quick, fluid experimentation... that's what I like about designs like this and the Animoog.

I just got done playing around with Thor on my brother's iPad. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the app from minimizing while playing it. Other than that, it's a lot of fun. I'm glad I bought it at the last minute. Can't wait to buy an iPad now.
