mpc 2000 xl via cubase midi props

hey im using cubase sx to record tracks off my mpc 2000xl. it plays fine on the mpc, but when i hit play and record in cubase to trigger the mpc the mpc will play quick and out of time. i have set both mpc and cubase with the same BMP?

I've slaved my mpc to the cubase without a hitch. you've set the bpm's of both, that's a good start. do you have "master" switched on, in the transport bar? if so, turn it off, it automatically turns the bpm to 120 even if you change it.. well that's what happens when I do it. keep the master off, and switch "sync" on, in the transport bar. Make sure the sync settings are the same as well (frame rate etc... ).

Or you can press ctrl-t to change the master tempo to something different then 120bpm.
