I love Mpc Renaissance or i prefer having A new Mpc standalo

Im fed up with my Mpc Renaissance who wants a new Mpc standalone Hardware that doesnt need reliability of a computer?

Ren & Studio are great. No idea about Elements and iMPC Pro, although iMPC is weird and crashes a lot, plus I haven't tried transferring projects yet.

I've used FL (weird), Logic and Reason before, while both were - considering workflow - not the best choice, but fun to use. Anyway, the Ren changed my workflow a lot, speeded up the process of selecting samples and tuning them etc. a lot, while I didn't like Maschine's workflow. Being quick and comprehensive, MPC workflow is just genius. Wouldn't want to miss it anymore.

P.S.: I AM eager for Reason 8, since it comes with workflow enhancements definately needed since v5. Still: MPC Ren/Studio are dope!

P.P.S.: I'd like a standalone, too. But since I almost always have my laptop with me I don't mind. And I don't think a standalone MPC could be as slender an light as the Studio is. Two thumbs up.

There's still a market for a new standalone MPC, albeit one that's not riddled with bugs when it's released. When the Ren software reaches version 2.0 that might be a good time to port it over.

I would hope that at double or triple the price of the Ren it'll actually offer something unique in terms of workflow, such as a well implemented touch screen or something at least evolutionary. I've got plugin instruments that completely kill a powerful i7 processor, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of plugin support. I don't think you need them if the onboard tools are good enough.

I really dont think it needs to have plug in (vsti etc) support on the hardware... It just needs to sample and sequence really well.. Every little tool and utility to sample edit, and then all the flexibilty with programming those samples.. (Maybe something like having all pad parameters per layer instead of per pad). I also like when in sample edit/trim mode on jjos is the shift shortcut function... Instead of pressing edit then selecting the function you want to apply, you hold shift and then get the most common functions to apply using the f keys...

and a built in auto sampler ... similar to sample robot or redmatica's autosampler... Just take your mpc over to your mates house, tweak something with his synth then auto sample it... Want the motif drum kit?, autosample it... Want to port over a vsti you have to the hardware mpc? autosample it... Auto sampling isn't just recording the samples, it's also making the program for you. I guess you could set at the start wether it's a instrument key group or drum group pgm..

Ability to define a pads top tier function.... ie is the pad a sampler or a multi fx. a macro action on press, a buss group. Imagine being able to have a pgm on a track that has a custom set of actions, triggers etc.. It's kinda like how maschine works, but can take a step further by adding macro triggers..

ahhh could go on... and on and on and dream....

If i even cared about standalone or not i wouldn't have bought a Ren...

That said, i'd definitely buy that standalone MPC prototype with windows embedded if it was released.

Don't care for anything from Numark/Akai. Last I heard the Ren still doesn't work. They have been dropping in price. They can't seem to give them away. Still rocking my MPC4000! What!

Bornalone Standalone. I have more fun with, and can put in longer hours on Hardware.

I would buy standalone - but compact! transportable! not some big studio device. Realistically - maybe that's what iMPC Pro with Elements will turn into - something not much bigger than my 1k...

(After all it's _much_ easier to hire ppl to code an app & design what would be an iPad dock with pads & audio i/o than to build a standalone from scratch.)

I'm not holding my breath though.

& yeah I don't care about vsts either.

Add in functionality like Keymap Pro and you're in the realms of having the most powerful and creative hardware sampler ever made!

I'm all for boring processes to be automated too. As long as you can override it if you need to.

I don't know about dropping in price in the uk , I got mine for 700 a year odd ago and the same shop are selling them for 720 now tho they would always price match ,so it's bit of a moo point
