Wow, this update is a true leap forward, I am so excited about the fact that Akai is truly listening to the users and also fully supporting the MPC Ren's evolution. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WORKED ON 1.7!!!! :worthy: :worthy:

Question, with direct record how would one do a remix, is it possible to sustain a recording without it repeating when sequences change?

Question , what is the support for akai keyboards, better integration ,use of faders etc

As they have totally rebuilt the software can we expect a new controller anytime soon ,

Yes. As long as the event isn't retriggered it will keep playing until it ends or until you stop it.

The software additions seem great but from the release notes it appears that the software is rapidly outgrowing the hardware.

This update is great a little disappointed that master tempo didn't make but it's good to see that Akai is listening to their customers.Even from the videos you can see they were listening.Although I have thousands of samples it's good that third-party companies are getting to the action like Primeloops.Hopefully other like Vandalism and Freaky Loops join in .Hybrid 3 is a great upgrade from what expansions that came with the Ren.Hope that they would add Xpand2 in the future but that's wishful thinking.Good job Akai

Hellfire

If I may ask you a few questions..

When you add an effect to a pad does it still put that pad into a submix?

Do you still need the application or vst loaded up for midi controller mode?

Thanks

This is what I was thinking , that expansion browser would look good on a colour screen
What I wanna know is should I start saving.

I think it's almost a given that they'll be dropping a new hardware MPC in 2015. It might not be till the end of the year but it's in the post.

I would expect that the Windows embedded MPC might get shown at Winter NAMM, if they are still working on what we saw previewed at that Microsoft developers conference.
