It definitely seems a bit cumbersome. It's not like it's an iPad where you need to get sounds into it for a certain app, in which case you know iTunes or a similar method is needed. It should be true standalone IMO.

I think the intended market for it is the more experimental/glitch type producers. 'Out there' sounds and manipulation will be its bread and butter, but the OP-1 does all of that stuff a lot better so I'm not that interested in it really.

The Electribe Sampler on the other hand has got me quite interested. It seems like a next gen groovebox with a slice of MPC 500 thrown in for good measure. I'll reserve judgement until I know a bit more about it...

400 for the Electribe and the sampling model is stated a 400 also. This is tempting.

All these cool lil' things coming out makes it difficult to stay focused on getting my f*cking business going. Might have to super glue some of these bills into my wallet so Korg doesn't steal my sh*t!

these electribes look dope,. i had a green electribe back in the day, the 90's. it sampled and shit,. these look dope though.. I've got a kaoss quad and love the effects, that mini kaoss looks dope, i plan on making a battery pack for my quad though

im torn between the sampling electribe and the synth one..lol… anyone else??

The synth one is dropping in December so I might see if Santa can bring me that. If I like it I'll grab the sampler in the new year.

I have a feeling that this Christmas is going to be hard on the music gear folk. Not that it's ever easy... damn it.

Electribe synth will come out December 2014 and Electribe Sampler will be March 2015

As soon as Guitar Center or Sam Ash has them set up on display, I'm looking forward to trying them out. I'm still not sure which one I want. At first I only thought there was one. I'm glad they have 2 different models again.

Just preordered the electribe synth.
I will be buying the volca sample, and also the electribe sampler if it's comparable to a mpc500.

Korg is killing it. Definitely getting that Electribe and the Volca too. Love the little boxes.
