I was wondering if anybody was using the E-mu 1212 sound card. How do you like it? If it matters I am planning to use it with Cubase SX 2.2.

What up man, yeah I use this card and i love it. To use it to it's full potential you'll have to get a A/D D/A converter ADAT optical connections and multiple inputs like the Behringer ADA8000. A lot of newer mixers also have ADAT optical capabilities. It's real hot thought man I can record 10 tracks simultaneously with this joint and the sound is top notch for the dollar.

Yeah I have Emulator X i think it uses the 1212 or 1010 as one of the cards. I haven't used it yet, don't have anything digital to hook up to it

the latency is very low, I use Reason 2.5 as a sound module for my MPC 60 and it syncs pretty good. Also when recording audio in Nuendo for my vocals it's right on time. The box just states "ultra-low"latency, but I have'nt had any issues with that. The only issue I've had is having to re-install the drivers because the sound dropped out. This has happened to me twice in the 7 months I've had this card, I got it when it first came out though so I'm sure the new drivers have rectified this problem.
