Both Quik lok and on stage make quality ish, all the stands I have are on stage, but only because that's what they had at GC. With that being said, I've never had problems with them, so I would just go for whatever costs less.

dunno bout those stands, man.. are they really recommended...? because you hit those pads pretty hard all the time. Ive a quicklock stand also.. It holds an amp (i have no more rack gear, I am poor :P ), if i turn the volume knob , the stand turns with it

Nope....

Here's some info from the MIX-400 ad (mine should be here any day now):

The center shaft assembly adjusts the height anywhere from 28" to 38"and can be friction-locked into place, allowing any musician to use it while standing or sitting. A high impact plastic base consists of five legs with fully lockable casters so the item won't go rolling all over the stage (a big selling point, given the high cost of electronic music equipment).

I don't have the 4000 anymore but I still have a mix 400 stand. I am in L.A, I will part with it for 50 bucks. [email protected]

Yeah man, those side brackets on the MIX-400 do look kind of high. Is what this guy said about the Quik Lok, the same for the MIX-400? I'm not interested in removing anything on my MPC.

I got my Mix-400 delivered yesterday. Haven't got a chance to set it up yet but when I do (maybe tomorrow), I'll post some feedback and possibly a pic of the setup.

well I've finally put it up together and here are a couple of pics.

As you can see the 4K sits on it nice and tight and I didn't have to remove the plastic sides. I highly recommend the Mix-400 to anyone looking for a stand for their 4K. As a matter of fact the company I got it from at Ebay has plenty more of them available.
