whats the go with a program creating a series of programs for each track it might be used on..? this surely seems a messy list on the project folder...? (ie S1-T4)
is there a way of not allowing this to occur?
thanks in advance!

This is only when loading pre-1.7 projects because track inserts no longer exist. This was necessary to keep all of your sequences sounding the exact same as they were created in 1.6. Being that each sequence in 1.6 had un-unified track inserts, 1.7 needs to create a new program channel for each track in each sequence that had an insert in 1.6 for those track inserts to be moved to. New programs are only created for tracks that actually had insert effects on them in 1.6. This was the only way to do it because of the possibility that users may have used different plugin settings or different plugins altogether on the same track in different sequences in 1.6.

Once your project loads in 1.7, you can go through each sequence and assign all the same tracks to the same programs that have the same effects you want on those tracks and delete the extras that you don't need. Or you can utilise the filter to only show used programs for the current sequence which will clean up the "messy" look in the mixer.

I will have a video soon explaining this in more detail soon.

Ok, this makes a little more sense. I haven't created a new project yet. Just messed around with para maters and the new vst. But when testing past projects I was slightly lost when trying to follow the new routing system.

Thanks again for all your work and follow up assistance. :worthy: all on your own time and merit :worthy:
