Curious to hear other 4000 folks music. For the first time I checked out the 'stats' part of my SoundCloud and noticed some people from the board had been listening to a few of my pieces.
I like this community, it's good to know there's others into MPCs like I am and it's been a great help over the years. Even though I've posted relatively infrequently I've read and learnt a lot since 2008. I'd be interested to put sounds to names. I'm sure we make a pretty wide range of music. I've updated my signature with everything.
Recently I've been getting into cassette tapes again and physical music mediums in general. It's great because instead of chopping and changing you sit there (if you're sitting) and generally listen to the whole thing through.
I've decided that I'm going to release some of my music on cassette and was thinking it might be cool to have an MPC Forums mix tape of our work. A song or two each depending on interest. I could gather all the files record them onto a tape and dub them. I'd just ask for money to cover cost of the tapes and shipping. Someone could design sleeves that we could print out. Alternatively we could just gather the files online and record our own tapes (or CD's or whatever we want). Any thoughts?
I'm sure there's a more appropriate page to post this (like the 'Your Music' forum) but seeing as I really only view and interact with the 4000 crowd that's who I'm most interested in.
