Hi everybody,
I´m new here and looking for some information about the
looper in the JJOS2XL. I used to work with an MPC 4000 but
changed to the MPC1000 because of the size and weight
when it comes to traveling as my analog gear on stage has
improved a bit. Plus the JJOS is a big improvement even
compared to the MPX4000...
So here is the question:
Does the looper work only seperate from all the other features
of the JJOS or can I record and replay let´s say some of my
guitar-play while I have the MPC doing what it usualy does
and that is playing some samples and triggering my analog
gear with midi-events..
The information I get from the manual is still a bit hard for
me to understand in full and hope that I´ll improve on that
end soon :)
Thanx in advance for your help and information!

Howdy.

From what I can remember, the looping function is kind of standing to the side of everything else... don't hold me to this one but I THINK once the looper is going you can't do much else without stopping/starting the sequencer again.

Sorry I cannot be more help. I was amped about the looper addition but when I went to use it... it failed short. Real short. When I want to do some improv. live-looping then that is normally when a RC-20XL is busted out.

The solution has a name : INFINITY LOOPER ;)

The only thing that obviously does what I´m looking for..

Looks like the right companion for my MPC and other live-gear.

Thanks guys for your input!

For a cheaper option look into sooperlooper on a computer combined with a cheap MIDI footpedal. Far more versatile IMO.
