Adding chopped sample to existing program.

Is this possible or can it only be done manually?

I have chopped a sample up and spread it out over bank A. If i want to chop up a different part of the sample and add it to the same program on a different bank can this be done? I cant seem to figure out how without having to do it manually, which is proving to be a pain because the sliced samples in the "all samples" menu are in no particular order.

I know i can switch between programs but when playing these samples live, switching between programs is proving to be quiet clunky with the wheel.

any suggestions?

Tap the pad with the sample. Go to Sample Edit.

Or go to Sample Edit and go to the sample within the Sample Name box, by using the scroll wheel.

Go to the Trim page, then to the Assign page. The window is called the Sample Assign. Select the pad/ bank. You can do this by scroll the large wheel! Or by pressing Shift and the selected Bank B, C, H you name it.... Then hit Do It.

From the chop mode you'll select the chop first, then Convert and in the Convert Slice window assign the pad, as explained above.

You can even put it in a different Program, where it says Pgm you'll scroll till you find the proprietary program of your liking.

By copying the sample to a different pad, you can edit the sample. And repeat the process described above.

Quickest way I know is to chop the sample to a new program, save the new program with the samples, go to the browser, and drag all the new chops to the next available pad in the program you want them. It will assign them all to pads automatically.

yeah, this is what i do. would be really nice to see an option to "add to existing program" or something to select when converting slices. just an option to select which program and what pad to start on.

Yes! You could do this on the MPC 4000. Adding this to my thread.
