Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I'm stuck with the direct record.
(Hope this in the right forum) Im using free JJOS on my 2500.
I just wanna play bass guitar over some drums in the MPC.
I can record it OK but I cant hear the beat when I do. What am I doing wrong?
I'm sure its something simple, any help would be appreciated :WTF:

You need to turn on input thru.Or use a audio track.

I was wondering about that.

He said he can not hear the drum beat/sequence, coming out of the MPC, when in direct record mode.

I thought that he would need Monitor: On, in Record Mode, to hear the bass input that he is playing over the drum beat/sequence.

I didn't think that would affect what he hears coming out of the MPC sequence/sampler though?

And does the free JJOS have audio tracks?

I'm using the audio tracks on track 64+ or whatever...
Monitor input is on in record. Input through is on, set to record my right input (Where I have my bass guitar)
My bass comes through fine.
But when I press play+record the drums are silent & I can only hear the bass.
I tried again last night but still can't figure it out :hmmm:

Its ok, I figured it out. You have to press overdub + play.......obviously.
Works perfect now.
