Favourite Snare

for real...ive used the same break over and over and over...then i used it some more

yeah, breaks are differant.

But on oneshots from my equipment...i layer my shit. So i definetely end up using em more than once, but you cant tell because i layered it and made it new.

kicks though, i use the same handfull.

Thats the beauty of breaks though, just the idea that you could use the same drums and make so many hot tracks; diffreant tracks is amazing in itself.

who would have thought that boom bap could be flipped so many ways?

I've been listening to nothing but Hi Records today. The DRUMS period from that label are some of the best ever. I just wish there were more open breaks. You'd be lucky to find open drums on these, but that warm full hard kick and that hard ass but warm snare...man...they sure don't make records like they used to.
