So I'm about to cave and just get JJOS2XL, the features are far too attractive. I won't lie though, the whole proposition kind of sketches me out.
So essentially it's a paypal/billing question ultimately. I currently have my bank account linked as well as paypal credit. So when I send JJ this info is he just going to bill paypal and I pay then? Will a bill 23 just disappear from my bank account? Will my credit line be charged? I don't know, that aspect of it all just sketches me out.
Other things that sketch me out, the OS just failing and bricking the MPC. Just going against the Akai warranty/recommendations. But my MPC is used so what warranty? But you've all done it and it gets more updates than Akai is going to throw at it so....
