Cant access sounds in the Bank?

I'm a newbie here, for some reason I can browse all the contents of the Bank sample folder, but I cant audition them or put them on pads. They're all .wav extensions, am I missing something? I should be able to mess around with them just like any other .wav file right?

Also besides the expansion packs, where are all the drum kits? I just want regular drums, not house kits, but that looks like all I can access right now even though I spent forever loading all those CDs. Thanks

i had the same problem as you.
for some reason after you install house/trap it deletes it off the folder

im assuming you are on windows?
and if not then get windows. **** mac

if u are on windows go to program files/p files x82
then go to common files
then click on akai
then keep clicking
until you finally see the factory content

then just set it up on ure folder

there is a video of that in "my infinite question noob thread" that you can go and look at

if your on windows

just go to common files and it should be in the akai folder.

if you installed the soundbanks they should be there.

The Bank, The 809, etc., MPC Expansions are software plugin instruments.

You can not access their content directly.

You have to load them as plugins, onto an MPC plugin track, and use the content within the plugins.
