No worries man. I've tested this with multiple machines now and getting the same issue. Messaged pete goodliffe about it but haven't heard back. It's like nobody wants to acknowledge this (testers/programmers). Very frustrating...anyway let me know what you find out when you get a chance...no rush though. I'm about to put away the mpc studio until the next update. SMH.

Did you tried to uninstall the AKAI MPC drivers and then re-installed it ? I'm talking about the ASIO drivers etc... looks like the soundflow is buggy.

And I agree with you about the plugin, if we could open the MPC Element plugin in controller mode beside the MPC plugin as a sound module ( with multi midi I/O enabled), all DAW sequencer users would be so so happy. The plugins are to standalone-like oriented. Should be two different thing...

I'm on the studio not the ren, so reinstalling asio is not the issue. I really don't give a $@!t anymore cuz I bought a maschine studio way back in March when it became clear 1.7 wasn't coming out anytime soon. It does the virtual outs with sonar no problem. I still prefer mpc workflow so will check back in future updates to see if this has been fixed. I just wish somebody from akai would say "we will look into this for future updates" or "thanks for bringing this to our attention". I've been using the mpc line since the 2000xl and consider myself a loyal customer. I bought the mpc studio when it first came out, I haven't opened my mouth until now about my dissatisfaction with the product. I'm really beginning to feel the alienation that others have complained about to this point. My patience wears thin akai...

Thank you Dazastah! At least I know somebody has watched the video and gets what I'm trying to say. I just tested using Geist and Arturia drum machines, they work perfect with their virtual outs. I've now tested the mpc software on 3 different machines, 2 different interfaces, and using asio 4 all drivers without an interface. Same hum on every test. (Although the hum doesn't actually output any noise)

I will take your advice and post the video to akai boards as well. I messaged pete with the video directly so hopefully somebody has seen this. I'm not hating on the software, but I was promised virtual outs in plug in mode for 1.7. Stand alone is fun but that is not my workflow. Anyway, thanks for your response.
Peace

Just an update. I Upgraded to Sonar X3 and I was able to get the virtual outs working! Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. More importantly thanks to Bryce Kanzer who left me the comment on youtube that he had the virtual outs working with Sonar X3. All is well now, I take back all my negative comments Akai testers and programmers. Now I can finally make some beats with this bad boy. Might have to pick up a Renaissance now!
