Hopefully easily answered sequencer question

I'm trying to get into sequencing stuff.
I'm haing trouble setting the sequences to play in order.
I can do it by spinning the data wheel,but that seems wack and I'm sure there is a way to set it so it plays sequences in order.

I can't open the next sequnce window either.
How do you get into that window.

Song mode. (I think Shift + 7?)

Assign the sequence numbers you want to play and the number of times for each sequence to play. Convert this to a sequence if you want to be able to loop it, you can always go back and edit the order, export to the same sequence again.

does anyone know what the convert option in this menu really does? I kinda don't get it....(SONG TO SEQUENCE?????)

It takes the song (usually 2 or more sequences) and turns them into one sequence. So in essence, its changes a song to a sequence.

I don't really undersatnd the value of this except if you have a long ass song and you want to simplify the Song screen.

Song to Sequence is a GREAT tool for lacing complex tracks...... usually, i just take my first seq. and copy it like 4 times. Then mute certain tracks, etc.... so when arranged in song mode, it has variation, breaks, etc....... (thats kind of a given). Then, i convert my song to a sequence..... create another beat, and intergrate the two in a new song.... etc etc... this process has allowed me to drop some fairly complex arrangement.......

anyway..... drummergirl, i'm not positive, but i think to activate the "next seq" window, your track has to be playing. Then from there you can set the timing you want to use when you switch sequences. You can also just use the 'sudden' feature to switch whenever you want (similar to using the jog wheel from the main screen)
