I am really hoping somebody can shed some light on this.... I am having problems with my mouse and keyboard freezing up causing me to have to hard boot 2-3 times a session which is getting hella annoying! Even when mouse and keyboard are frozen I can work on the REN and still get a signal in the software and am getting an audio feed no problem, but mouse and keyboard are worthless until i restart with hard boot (mouse and keyboard are bluetooth:could this be a problem?). Anybody got any clue what this problem comes from? This is the stuff I'm using:
-imac 3.06 GHz intel core duo with 4gb men running mavericks osx 10.9.4
- MPC REN running 1.7 software with beta driver
- Digi 003 console and protools 11
this crash happens whether I am in mpc software, protools, or both. Crash does not happen until I am using any kind of music software. anybody else having this problem?

Installing update for osx10.9.4 did not fix this mouse/keyboard freeze for me at all. Gonna try using hard wired mouse/keyboard instead of Bluetooth and see if that helps

If that doesn't work, maybe check to see if you have the DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin installed in your Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers folder, and if so, remove it.

Awwch, I think they are going to release a new gen next month.

Anyway, the problem you had, was probably caused by the 4GB RAM. Load that babe up to the MAX, depending on the model 16- or 32GB, this will make her run smooth and obedient.

But 16GB is sufficient. Btw, what was the CPU specs like?
