i would just like to see a little more focus switched back to sample edit. the mpc was originally a sampling drum machine. i know lot people don't sample any more.
the focus has been huge on VSTs and the mixer and DAW which has been important to a lot of people on the forum. i just would like to see it pushed as creative instrument a bit more as there are dozens of DAW already.

just a couple but small features.

there is a couple of instants where a prompt comes up "do you want to etc ? yes or no? "this isn't necessary as there is a undo now. just simple things like that can be removed.

Pad Copy needs to make a copy of the sample not just a new instants. so you can make adjustments to start/markers of the copy on the new pad.

one of the best things they did was "one shot" so simple but for anyone who likes to sample a great help.
in sample edit the a loop with one shot would be great.
in sample edit there are 2 Q knobs that are no used q16 q12 maybe we could have
them for attack and release on the sample.

with the MPC there are multiple ways of working which is a gift for the user but a curse for the developer so it's hard to please everybody.
overall pleased with what they have done so far, any extra features are a bonus in an update no matter how small.

i most def agree...i sample a lot..thats why i got the mpc in the first place.

i think you can one shot in sample edit mode if im not mistaken..they added new features now in mpc 1.7

would like for the actual loop pad which is pad 13 to just keep looping until i press it again..you have to keep it pressed if you want it to loop.

i keep telling people. its the small tings that really count and that make anything better..all those little **** twitches make the bg thing "mpc" as a whole a lot better.'

and iron leg..why did you disable pm ! haha..i wanted to pm u

One Shot not being available during Pads 13-16 bugs the hell out of me. Why'd they go through all that coding trouble and not make it available during pad loop?

It's not available on pad loop, there is no toggle for it. It's note on only , hopefully this is fixed in the next update.

its way simpler than before... atleast rom how i knew it was done i 1.6

had to use keygroups for 1.6

no, he's holding the pad. You press the pad once and let go and it continues to loop until you perfect the start and end of loop.
JJOS for MPC 1000, 2500, Maschine and every daw has this.

Correction on my part, Pete said that a deeper warp-time stretch is in in the works. Since a real time stretch has ever been on any mpc. As long as they give us auto detect bpm and allow us to type in the tempo of a loop to fit out drum loop will be fine with me. I just want them to at least get the basics of the mpc implemented into the software. I don't want the ren- studio turning into a virtual instrument. Being able to use plugins is nice but the basic functions of the mpc should be and always the focus first. It's a sampling drum machine first. The plugins is a bonus. Auto detect bpm and cross fade looping is also wut I want and now if possible. But akai is stepping it up

oh snap...so it automatically detects the end/start loop point then stops?
shit tahts pretty sick..i def want that now ;)

damn..
ive never used any of the old mpcs..so i dont know exactly what functions the old ones had.but shit..we need each and every single function the old mpc's had. the more the merrier! unless they where useless then keep those away ;)

man but real time stretch until we get it how we like it would be so dope!

also kay digi..wherent you gona be away for a while? or was that some other guy..that was mpcing a lot during "summer vacation"? lol

No it doesn't do anything automatically. The point is the sample is going to keep playing at your start and end loop points. The sample will keep playing without you holding the pad. So you are free you to perfect the start and end will the pad is looping.

Nah that was someone else on Summer vacation.

ahh..so pretty much just fress up your finger? meh..small tweekz

but like i done said..its all the small things that make the big things good as a whole ;)

jpeg wrote:pad copy is key thats what makes working with samples so quick on maschine

also wanna be able to change the overall volume from the studio controller, smh

Not a small tweak at all, it's the corner stone of my workflow. I end up looping in my hardware mpc, maschine or a daw.

While Ren can pad copy , it's not implemented like Maschine. Maschines pad copy is more in line with JJOS NDC. Now in the video below you don't have to make a mute pad, don't know why he did. So all those copies of the pad don't make a new file copy.

video not working fo rme.

ill try later..

true..i loop a lot also..so i guess it would be a cool fix.
By pituchez Tue Sep 23, 2014 10:53 am
also

yesterday while mpc'ing

i noticed that when i was trying to live record i had to record with the sequence off because if not what i record has the sound of the sequence playing in the back. which is ok to a certain point..but then you cant mix shit correctly.

so hopefully for 1.8 they add an option where you can just record vst or have vst record into the sample i am taking.
