Its a file on that contains your registration details so if you back it up you can save activations as you only get a certain amount

on mac this file is in user/library/application support/MPC

just trying to find out the location on a windows computer so I can save having to use up an activation

i got no idea what you are talking about

my old hd died and i had to replace it. and i just installed mpc and activated it like nothing again..gave me new serial and stuffs

Each time you install it, it connects to an Akai server, and uses up one activation count, you get 4 activations when you buy it new. Install it a couple more times and you will find out what we are talking about.

I did this on my Mac it also saves some other setting that can be handy ,
I've not use window for ages but I'm sure I did it on windows too can't u search for the file mpc unlock info
