helpppppppppppppppp!!!!! my mpc2000 is trippin!

ok, I have an mpc 2000 v 1.70 w/ an attached zip drive. Now, the problem started with the OS disk, everytime i would try to start up the mpc, it would turn on of course, but the screen would read "disk read error". So i took it over to my friends(who also has an mpc 2000) and he copied me a new floppy OS disk. Cool, it would now go to the sequence/main window (it worked basically, haha) But, heres the problem, when I go to put it on scsi5, it literally gets frozen on "wait........" not like how it does when you are putting it to scsi5 and it flashes a little on the other scsi number you pass, this just gets frozen and doesnt flash or flicker on the other scsi number. What the hell is going on? haha I even left it on wait for a while but it wasn't doing anything, its just frozen.
Any help would be cool, Im in the middle of a huge project that has a deadline and Im freaking out..... PLEASE HELP.

that sucks man i dont know what to tell you but try checking your cable hook up to your scsi. try turning it on with the scsi unplugged set it to scsi 5 then plug it in see if that helps,sorry to hear that good luck on your dead line peace

go download ther 1.72 os version that should help.
