What things do you want in a new Mpc

Lets say Akai puts out another Mpc. What features would you want in it? ill start

-Can be completely standalone-
i dont want it teathered to my computer

-software integration-
shouldnt be the main focus of the machine but would be nice

-light up pads-
i liked this idea from the renaissance

-mpc 2000xl like sequencer-
come on this made the mpc 2000xl awesome

those are probably what i would need to see to purchase a new mpc if akai made one.

There was a prototype standalone MPC shown at the Microsoft Build 2014 conference earlier this year.

Was apparently a Renaissance with a built-in Intel NUC PC mainboard.

It would most likely run a version of MPC Software.

It was rumored to be available later this year.

That is what I would expect a new standalone MPC to be, can't see them going back to a non-PC based MPC at this stage.

cuz im poor and i am not buying any other mpc for the rest of my life..unless i become rich.

so they just better keep making mpc ren better and better

At the moment, they are not doing anything to make the MPC Renaissance better, they are making MPC Software better.

If a new standalone MPC with built-in PC runs MPC Software is released, hopefully that means that they will keep improving MPC Software for existing controllers as well.

well...seeing since this mpc aint shit unless its connected to a pc..making the software better is making the mpc better...

I want it to be a MPC 1000 with JJOS2xl and 4x midi out.
CF would be replaced with SD, and there would be a 60 Gb SSD by default.

i want the MPC3000 NSLE (not so limited edition)

bring back amazing build quality.... the kind where tact switches last 20 years instead of 6 months....

also, features you use for live on the fly stuff shouldn't be accessed with shift+thebutton or any of that... dedicated buttons for pad banks (at least a few), or things you access quickly. Menu diving and alt+shift+F3 type shit is for when you are working at your own leisure.

16 assignable outputs (so you get 8 stereo)... pipe dream to think they would put an extra 10 dollars worth of 1/4 jacks on the back, but it would be great. This would be awesome not only for recording, but many people use track mixers for live... it's another avenue to combine with track mutes in the mpc itself.

I like my 60 the way it is. Only thing i could ask for would be a filter, but that has been taken care of otherwise with external filters.

Limitations are something good (IMO).

So i guess i don't want a new MPC...
