naming tracks.... "default track name"???

whats the purpose of default track name?....

lets say i have 10 sequences/patterns... and i forgot to assign the names for all the track 1's in every sequence...for me.. the main hats are in track one for every sequence..... i find my self going through each sequence and renaming track one to "HATZ", for instance... that shit kinda takes a while... one time i tried changing the default track name... expecting it to automatically rename all my track 1s to "HATZ".... but it didn't...

so whats the purpose of a default track name....???

You dont have to name any tracks, it's purely there to help you identify which track is which. Whenever I make up a sequence, I name all tracks straight away and then when I copy that sequence, all tracks are already named.

...thats why i try to do also..... i try to use as many instruments...and each track on the 1st sequence... to avoid naming several other sequences when instruments are added...



i just can't do with out naming tracks...

I had that same problem once before what i did if you knwo that your going to have a bass drum , hats ect ....make a template and load it each time and it already has the settings tha you will need at lest the basics anyway and you can always add to it later ......

i just found a faster way...... if i know iam gonna definitely use a new sample on its own track... i'll go ahead and name a track in the first sequence... and use the "edit" function in the main menu... and copy that track to every sequence...... its way faster.... to tap edit...twist the knob... and hit do it....
