that happened to my boys 2000. its terrible. the only way to use it is to know what ur doing and know where everything is cause you cant hardly see a damn thing.
he said the screen is done, he'll have to replace it. maybe send it somewhere to get fixed i guess?
I spoke with someone at VST and they told me I would probably need to replace the LCD at a price of $201.78. They don't have any in currently so it will be weeks before I am able to make this switch. If anyone has any other suggestions they are welcome. I am probably going to try to make sure all the connections are in good, and then go from there. Thanks for any repsonses that may come. I hope this helps someone who may be having the same problem as me.
Yes, I saw many of these blacklines back at AKAI. You will need a new LCD screen. There is a slight chance that the white ribbon cable is loose but I doubt that is the problem. Sometimes the lines will disappear and not come back.
If your unit is under warranty they will replace the LCD, just make sure to put one on order. And keep that broken one for emergencies.
