AND......I HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE IT EXISTED.......Much like the Akai feature where chops follow tempo and no loss in sound quality or change in pitch.

Wait why are we talking about transfuser?? what does this have to do with the mpc software other than it's developed by Air which is also InMusic? Transfuser seems to be a groovebox plugin with lots of premade grooves that run on virtual instruments like reason. The whole thing was started by MPD MPK RAY

SEE THAT ORIGINAL TEMPO BUTTON?
IT AUTOMATCALLY KNOWS THE TEMPO WHEN YOU DON"T

WE NEED THIS

Are you sure that transfuser 'automatically' knows the tempo? I'm pretty sure that would be the original tempo for the premade content within transfuser (the loops name in your picture is 140_cave, the original bpm is 140, this is 100% factory content pictured), and that if you wanted to put new loops into transfuser you would have to go through the same manual processes you do with the ren.... unless you can provide a video or documentation about this feature (the only videos i saw on youtube were all just demoing the garbage factory samples and cheesy glitch fx) i'm going to go with my initial assessment of you MPK RAY which is that you're smoking crack man, the way you post on this forum is really hard to understand haha... always posting broken sentences in huge fonts  ...

 Computer says yes...
Original Tempo

– The Original Tempo setting represents the analyzed original tempo of the imported audio file. You can also enter a different BPM value than the analyzed value for the audio file, if necessary (for example, if the audio doesn't have a clearly defined pulse).

Obviously I welcome any sort of bpm analysis, improvements to time stretching and everything else, I just don't get the transfuser hype.. anyway sorry MPK RAY I guess you probably don't hit crack...

Get off your sybian pedestal !!!!

I;ll suggest that maybe patched phrased can be further enhanced with a time stretching algorythim into it's loop mode for each sample... (Similar to recycle?)

It's seems everyone wants something that can automatically adjust the pitch and time.. Better to implement it in a way that already exists in the framework...

I speak to akai PROFESSIONAL all the time; on the phone for years...... Company got sold....people got switched.....never got my simple problems solved.....YOU THINK THEY SEE ME NOW? go buy a mpc500 if you can do without MPC4000/Renaissance features.

Just say that and leave me out of your quotes unless you are C++ Coding.

Like I said....unless you search THE MPC1,2,4, AND 5000 FORUMS and see HOW LONG I have PAYED/waited for promised features............Y'all all "HA HA HA" but we was in these trenches 2006 talking about better business bureau and internet petition.

you playing.

im playin to win. Im serious.
By dazastah Wed Oct 01, 2014 1:46 pm
Look I'm not here to play you down. I came in asking and suggested some ways where it might be better or worse, you fired back like i was out to demote you of your production title... Maybe we can chill out put the ego's aside and keep on going with the topic..

Another thought occured, that before realtime stretch is implemented, would we need audio tracks then?
By peelnpuff Wed Oct 01, 2014 2:45 pm
Real Time timestretch should be implemented like in ni Kontakt :).
You have a percent / Cent knob and you can decide if you like to Stretch for the whole program or for each pad individually (Switch on / off in the program window).
Just that simple, no tricky editing..

MachFive includes licensed granular synthesis, time-stretching, and pitch-shifting technology from the world-renowned IRCAM research institute in Paris, France. Granular synthesis can be seamlessly incorporated into your sound design efforts in MachFive, side by side with the other synthesis models that MachFive offers. The IRCAM algorithms produce pristine audio time-stretching and pitch-shifting results, even when applying extreme tempo changes or pitch intervals. The results are so usable at extreme values, you can use them as powerful sound design tools.

Dont forget her too........

I own and use all of these inside the REN but it is really difficult to chop then control with the pads.

WE just want ONE MPC with tools from the mpc4000 and MachFiveV3.

Well.....I think ya'll got it from here. I gotta go figure this Kontrol S61 out. Keep this up!

Do people think Patch Phrase is a helpful feature? Because whenever I try it, there is crazy clipping, start/stop artifact stuff going on. Even if I'm changing something as small as a 2 bar loop by 1 BPM. I've tried all sorts of combinations/experiments, watched those tutorials on youtube, and still every time I try it, the new Patch Phrase sound comes up sounding like ****. Clips galore.

Time Stretch, on the other hand, seems to be pretty nice on the Ren. I've owned a bunch of different hardware MPCs over the years, and the Ren seems to be the most advanced/clean as far as time stretching.

Am I missing something with this Patch Phrase thing? Most people seem to be hyping it. But for me it seems crappy.

The reason you are getting those clipping sounds is because you are probably using patch phrase on samples. patch phrase is really designed for drum loops. time stretch is wut you should use for music samples. A new stretch is in the works. It may be available in 1.8 This is something i am looking forward to. And auto detect bpm as well

IRCAM have been developing cutting edge computer music techniques for like 50 years. If you want time stretching as good as them, you're going to have to use a licensed product. Akai would never catch up to IRCAM quality algorithms at this point.

If you own Mach5 wtf are you on about MPK RAY. Why don't you ask Akai to include NI massive, oh yeah and every fabfilter plugin, and every waves plugin... Akai will add in the best timestretch that they can, do you not see how unrealistic it is for you to just put font size: 150 on and demand features from different products be integrated into the Ren???

And you actually bought a s61 keyboard!?!??? There's no font size small enough to hide that shame!
