How to fix CPU usage issues with old projects in 1.7

The thing that is happening in 1.7 is ALL tracks with track inserts from ALL sequences are being duplicated into new programs so that each sequence plays back the way it did in 1.6 and sounds the exact same. So if you used a lot of sequences with a lot of plugins, you're going to have a lot of new programs and inserts created, which may push your cpu past its limits. All you have to do is go through each track in each sequence and assign them to the correct program, then delete the duplicates you don't need.

So for example, if I have 5 sequences that each have an insert on my snare track, then I'm gonna get 5 new snare programs for the inserts to be moved to. But chances are that you want all 5 snare sequences to sound the exact same. The reason there are so many duplicates is for people that want sequences to have independent insert and mixer settings. For those that want all sequences sounding identical, you would just go to each sequence and assign each snare track to the same snare program and delete the remaining 4 snare programs. That's 4 inserts knocked off right there. Do this for every track that should have the same assignment in every sequence and delete what you don't need. No doubt! I posted this in the video compilation thread a when 1.7 launched, but I think the information got buried in the thread.

Thanks homie!!! I actually just fixed it I think. I loaded up each wav, sequence, and program individually and then saved it over. It seems to have worked. The only thing is that some effects plug-ins are missing but that's not a big deal bc once you bounce it down you can't have any effects on it anyway smh.... By the way, is that still the case? I know with Maschine i was able to bounce down the entire track with my effects and all, can we do this on the mpc yet?

All effects are always included in the bounce. Always have been.
