ok when i first turn on the 4000 and open ak.sys everything is fine. once i edit the sample i'm gonna use in wavelab and save it and transfer it to the 4000, everything is fine but, once i close ak.sys and wavelab and then try to reopen ak.sys it won't pick up that the 4000 is connected and then it crashes my computer, literally, rerstarts the whole thing and i get a message saying my computer has recovered from a serious error. anyone else having or heard of a problem like this? help if you can.

BTW, i have os 1.45 on the 4000 and ak.sys 2.53 and wavelab 4

i have this problem too frequently, but not often enough to bother me. happens about once or twice a week which is just nothing for somebody who was used to crashing systems five times a day. that is, before i turned to the 4k. still, i do not have a solution for it, but i`m pretty shure it has something to do with the drivers.

Sorry, but I have to ask - why close ak.Sys if you plan on re-opening? Can you just leave it open while you do other things?

My computer is also crashing a lot, but not with ak.Sys. I've been speaking with tech support where I got the computer and they tell me it's probably a problem with conflicting drivers. They recommend completely reinstalling Win XP and adding devices one at a time to see when the problem starts. I did this a few months back and it fixed nothing. I'm beginning to think I may have power supply problems with my computer.

Computers can be notoriously unstable at times depending on what you have installed, and the available resources. :(
