Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I know this has been discussed already, but I would like to bring it up to light once more momentarily.

For 1.8, I would like to see........Real-time pitch shifting and time stretching! Imagine how fast you would be able to adjust the sound of your samples without having to hit the "undo" button a bunch of times.....

Please Akai :-D

I need a quick way to assign all Qlinks to the selected pad. (on the Main page)

Whenever I see someone in the Main page, the Qlinks (PRG) are always unassigned.

Such a waste!

If this entire list of features is added to the next update...I will gladly pay for the update (hint: this means you can outsource to give our man Pete some help)

1. Add forward/reverse loop with crossfade to Loop function
2. Real-time stretching (Warping)
3. Track rearrange capability (simply grab, move where I want it and drop)
4. Multi-effect Return Tracks (I want the ability to build effect chains on my return tracks)
5. Get rid of the submix feature and give me "Grouping" with ability to add an EFX chain to my groups.

Bonus (not a deal maker or breaker but, would make me say Hell Yesssss!!)
Give me the option to view MPC Efx in rotary or slider mode

A copy sample function that would allow the user to copy the sample to multiple(16) pads in a program and adjust each samples start/end points independently. Ableton Live drumrack , maschine, groove agent, battery and poise all have this functionality.

I'm thinking of a large screen performance mode. Sort of like Logic's Mainstage -- Since the laptop must go with, let me have a huge screen view of the MPC studio's display, with a few more features.

2. If I build a song mute states on tracks should not carry over from sequence to seguence. Currently, unless I automate them on/off, then once muted on the intro, a track stays muted.

3. True controller only mode. I want to use my MPC studio with my impcpro. Assuming impcpro gets workable. FIRMWARE update please!

4. Likewise, let me share an MPC sequence down to impcpro. Even if it must have limited features.

So.... I'm looking for more of a live perfomance/jam capable instrument.

LOVE my MPC Studio. I love that I dan do 90% of my work on the MPC interface if I want to without switching attention to the computer.

Something like this get it plugged into sample edit making sample edit traktor style tool for scrolling quickly through waves, finding no destructive on the fly loops and fx and ready to be assigned the Ren pads.
probably more 3.0 than 1.8 but worth paying for. and looking more AKAI than no mark NUMARK

Ableton "PUSH(made from my mpd32 and mpk49 money lol)" Live has the "DJ BREAK" like Serato or iMPC Pro on some real spit..... Support for this beast would force them to FINALLY feature: chops follow tempo....

The way I see it is I would pay buddy a stack to put that one feature IN THE SAMPLE EDIT SCREEN.

So Akai if you put that out it would cost around a ns7 or a ren.

I would pay Akai ANOTHER stack for that as long as it AUTO-BPM then slows the mpc software like ableton live.

THE ABLETON REAL-TIME TIME-STRETCH FEATURE FOR THE AKAI BUILT PUSH. ASK THEM FOR HELP LIKE THEY ASK YOU.

great thread by the way.

ability to select and drag multiple samples from the sample list.

'split' button on the software in the chopping and sample edit modes. (currently it's only accessible in the hardware)

would be nice to be able to drag midi from a plugin to a track. in FL i would be able to drag midi drum fills from Addictive Drums into the track. cool thing is you can then move around the midi data and alos use your own drum samples for the fill.

also, this:

DJ Hellfire wrote:Quickest way I know is to chop the sample to a new program, save the new program with the samples, go to the browser, and drag all the new chops to the next available pad in the program you want them. It will assign them all to pads automatically.

yeah, this is what i do. would be really nice to see an option to "add to existing program" or something to select when converting slices. just an option to select which program and what pad to start on.

one more:

not a huge deal but it would be awesome if there was some options for exploding a track. like, for example, if you had all drums on one track and had like 3 different crash cymbals and wanted all those to go to one cymbal track, not three separate tracks. would be useful for hi hats too as i usually have a couple of hats that i would rather have on the same track. (like on a 16th note hat pattern ill make a copy of my hat and adjust the decay and shit slightly to give it some groove and variation)

i agree..give you the options to group certain things like hi hats..and option to make new programs with each sound..since it pisses me off that after i explode something i add an effect to the program and it effects all the tracks since they are in the same program..i gues not a big deal since you can just add the effect to the pad..so who knowz.
