MPC 4000 or Renaissance or 2500 with jjos

Ive had the 4k for a lil bit now and I like it the only thing is that I find that you have to put in more work with it as a stand alone then the newer mpc's. For instance when your sampling the waveform isn't followed (which is annoying). I saw on both the 2500 and the 1000 that the waveform is followed. And just chopping in general is more painful on the 4000. The renaissance would be much easier to just chop cause you can follow the waveform and you have more editing options. Along with that the effects on the 4k are not very detailed or pretty. With a renaissance I could easily see what i'm adjusting without having to go through shortcuts or headaches. My question is what is bad a bout the renaissance besides its crashing issues. On top of all of these things what makes the 4k better than the renaissance or 2500 with jjos. Since akai has stopped supportinng 4k software I cant even use aksys with it to affect the 4k. Aside from the rant should I sell the 4k and move on to newer hardware software adaptations or keep the 4k and learn more about it before I condemn it.

Sell it and move on. You either gel with it or you don't... you obviously don't and there's no point trying to convince you otherwise.

Sounds like you want the convenience, speed and options of using SOFTWARE.

But then the MPC Ren has other issues you will need to contend with...

Er, the waveform on a 2500/1000 isn't followed. Is it? Iv had mine ages & its always a feature Iv missed since coming from software. Unless Iv stupidly missed this option???

Chopping on the 4k is a nightmare, especially when you consider it's the only MPC that lets you drop a point in realtime while the sample is playing.
