We have many Pad Banks, GREAT...

If I have samples on bank "A"

then I go to the Browser, and select a Program of Chill Toms,

then select an empty bank "B", and drag the chill Toms on Pad 1, in Bank "B",

it LOAD UP IN BANK "A", ERASING OVER MY SAMPLES I ALREADY HAD IN BANK "A".

Now, I thought that the chill drums (or any samples from a program, is suppose to
map out from where you place the program, and map it there after?
didn't it do that in ver. 6?
this is very important, when testing a group of sounds already loaded in a program.

I think you are mistaken about it behaving differently in 1.6.

A program contains the sample mapping for all pad banks, when you load a different program it loads all the pad banks at once, not just one pad bank, so it erases whatever is already on pad bank A from the first program when you load a second program.

Thanks SimonInAustralia

I double check into that.
for some reason I remember a vid online showing,
the Rens, loading from what ever pad you start, and there after.
if I'm wrong, then that would be a great feature,
so you can mix sets.
then again, maybe it was my MOTU BPM that did that.

I think he got confused because it will do it with samples and he is trying to do it with programs.

To do what he is trying to do he simply needs to look at the samples in the program inside the browser and grab them instead of loading the program.

THE ADVERSARY, Thanks.

You are correct, I was confused.
Months ago i watched this video,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q32GTzWFUUQ&list=PLKU1qcgoIjxkQLXZTLQPQ-aIe-RP2NyV-&index=10

but haven't use this technique in months and forgot about it being in a folder.
although, in the Program, in the browser, I can not see all the samples in A program
before loading it, which I'd like to do, so I can grab the samples I want
instead of all of them, like you suggested.
any help would be appreciated.

thanks
