Windows users will finally get Apogee back

Unfortunately in the current configuration it will include PT software but will work with any ASIO Windows application.

So at least the Duet and Quartet are options for Widows users.

Be interesting to see if this now means that Apogee will allow their normal line to support Windows once again?

So will this work only with the new bundle? Or will my old duet work as well if i download some software? Not gonna buy a new one honestly, but if i can make my old duet work on a windows machine, i'll be happy.

What I'm hoping is that since they will have to write a driver for it to work because it will be able to work as a normal ASIO that they will make the drier available to Duet/Quartet users as well.
As long as it's not some new eprom variable in the equation it should be doable with the straight models as well.
When Apogee and AVID stop being chums it changed a lot of things but this looks like a turn in the right direction.
Was a smart choice to pick those 2 interfaces and make them cross platform.

Shouldn't be long before we get some clarity on the matter.

so there is a difference between apogee duet and quartet, and protools duet and quartet? Kind of vague...

Avid has developed Windows audio drivers for Pro Tools | Duet and Pro Tools | Quartet for use with Pro Tools 11. These cannot be used with Apogee’s Duet or Quartet.

Pro Tools | Duet and Pro Tools | Quartet will fully function with Pro Tools on Windows systems. You can also use Pro Tools 10/11 on OS X, utilizing Mac OSX Core Audio drivers.

I'd be surprised if it didn't work - at the very least via a workaround. It'd be worth downloading the drivers to try it out.
