how do you patch phrase chops less than a bar long? is there any way other than making each pad hit a bar long but just starting on the needed beat?

Wrong.

He's on a 2kxl, no patch phrase, just good equal chopping.

Its not patch phrasing...its chopping up a 2 bar loop into 16 beats. Hence the equal chopping. Some people chop on the beat and some chop to the bassline. In this video Pete chopped to the beat. Notice pads 1,4 they are all on a snare or kick drum.

im gona try this out.

i tried pp for some stuff but it sucks..
atleast in slowing things down.
sounds all hoppy and shit..so mainly use it for drums now.
and ive chopped to drums/bassline but still sounded rappy
might give it another try
